Puerto Piramides-Patagonia

I grew up in Patagonia, the South of Argentina, which is a very beautiful place. Patagonia is a region that contains 5 of the biggest provinces of the country. One of my favorite places in this region is Puerto Piramides, which is a small village located in the Northeastern of the province of Chubut.

Puerto Piramides is a famous place because people from everywhere come to do whale watching. Every year May through December, Puerto Piramides receives whales that choose this place to breed and give birth.

However, I used to go there during summer time (December to March), because the beaches and the landscape are just amazing. The weather sometimes is windy but in summer it gets hot enough to go inside the water.

  1. This sounds amazing! I'd love to see whales in the wild. What made you decide to move here? I always thought Arizona is such a random place for people from outside the US to move. I guess that's because I've always lived here. Do you notice any big cultural difference?

    1. Yeah, is really nice Patagonia! I know that Arizona is kind of a random place to choose but I came here mainly because I liked the program at ASU. I really didn't know that much about Phoenix, but I really like it. Is definitely different.
I did notice a big cultural change but I liked it. I think is exciting meeting different people!

  2. This is beautiful, thank you for sharing a little bit about your home country. Arengtina defiantly has an interesting history and a rich and beutiful culture. Its unique location in the world also grants it one of the most beautiful and unique landscapes. Yo soy Mexicano, y viajar a sur America especialmente al Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, y Paraguay siempre a sido una gran illusion. Thanks for the tip, I will have to add this on to my list when I make the trip.
